LEARN ASTROLOGY - LESSON 56 HOW TO JUDGE ASSETS IN LIFE

LEARN ASTROLOGY - LESSON 56

"HOW TO JUDGE ASSETS IN
LIFE"

The learned readers are aware that for examining net assets in life, which include happiness, acquiring properties, vehicles and other valuables and providing comforts to a native, we consider the fourth house and the significators, Mars and Venus.  Sometimes, the indications emerging out of these significators do not come true nor match with actual circumstances.  For a deeper analysis we must take up the analysis of the chaturthamsa (D-IV), the divisional chart meant for knowing the net assets.

The lord of the fourth house of the rasi chart, along with the significators, Mars and Venus, act as prime determinants of net assets in life.  If there is no mooltrikona sign in the fourth house, then the lord of the second house becomes the prime determinant of net assets in life.  And if there is no mooltrikona sign in both the fourth and second houses, then the lord of the eleventh house acts as prime determinant for net assets.  The planets influencing the most effective point of the fourth house become the secondary determinants of the net assets in life.  If there is a mooltrikona sign in the ascendant of D-IV then its lord acts as an additional prime determinant for the net assets.  While analyzing D-IV, we consider the ascendant lord and the significators of the net assets in D-IV; the position of the prime determinants of net assets in the rasi chart is also taken into consideration.  We consider the strength of the prime determinants for identifying the status of net assets.  When strong, the royal planets, Sun and the Moon, along with the significator Venus influencing the prime determinants, indicate possessions of royal nature, i.e. spacious and palatial buildings to reside in and luxurious vehicles, etc.  Saturn and Mercury, similarly, denote humble possessions whereas Rahu and Mars make one strive hard for acquiring luxurious possessions.  Jupiter in such a situation denotes good possessions when in dignity and pitiable belongings when weak.  If the prime determinants are strong and an additional prime determinant is placed in a benefic house, a person enjoys possessions on a long-term basis depending upon the operating periods of the planets.  If the prime and additional prime determinants are not strong, planets cannot sustain lifelong possessions.  The effects of planets are closely related to their strength.  By way of examples we will analyze the situation in a few cases.

CHART 32: Male born 2nd October, 1950, 2320 Hrs. 75E34, 31N20, India.

The lord of the fourth house, Mercury, is well placed but weak.  Jupiter, the lord of the ascendant of D-IV, is weak in rasi and afflicted in D-IV. The Sun, though weak due to weakness of dispositor, yet is well placed and exactly influences the most effective point of the fourth house.  The significator Venus is weak as it is debilitated and exactly afflicted by the Ketu-Rahu axis.  Saturn, ruling the house of fortune, placed in the fourth house is weak due to infancy and combustion and is closely afflicted by Rahu-Ketu axis.  During the main period of Jupiter and the sub-period of the Sun, the native was employed at a handsome salary with good perks.  The job continued till the beginning of the sub-period of Rahu with some stresses and strains.  In Jupiter-Rahu he left the job and started a consultancy business which failed.  The sub-period of combust and afflicted Saturn in its own main period could not even provide him with a satisfactory job.  In Saturn-Saturn, the native even tried to commit suicide owing to persistent failures.

Coming back to our subject: in spite of good income in the sub-period of the Sun in the main period of Jupiter, the native could not acquire any landed property or a vehicle suitable to his status.  The lord of the house of accumulation of wealth and status, though exalted, is in the old age and placed badly in the house of losses and expenses.

CHART 33: Male born 15th November, 1931, 1823 Hrs. 74E14, 32N09, India.

Both the fourth lord in rasi chart and the ascendant lord of the D-IV is Sun, which is weak as it is occupying the sixth house in the rasi chart in its sign of debilitation and is in extreme old age.  The Sun occupies the twelfth house in D-IV.  The significators, Mars and Venus, are in the seventh house in rasi chart and in the tenth house in D-IV.  As both Mars and Venus are functional malefic planets, they closely afflict each other and harm the significations of these two planets mutually.  The native had a plan of acquiring a comfortable residence and a luxury car which he could not complete by 1988, that is till the age of 58 years.  The prime determinant in debilitation, old age and bad placement deprived the native from the advantages of the significations ruled by it.  The weak prime determinants if not strengthened either do not bless with their signification results or such blessings acquired can be snatched away shortly after possession.  Whenever a mooltrikona sign occupies a house in the rasi chart or the ascendant of the concerned divisional chart, the strength of the significators is of secondary importance compared to the strength of its lord.

CHART 34: Male born 11th December, 1923, 2158 Hrs. 88E23, 22N35, India.

The lord of the second house, Mercury, becomes the prime determinant in this case as there is no mooltrikona sign in the fourth house.  Mercury is combust and under the close influence of Rahu.  In the rasi chart, the significator Mars is weak as it is under the exact affliction of Ketu.  The significator Venus is weak as it is debilitated in navamsa.  The Sun becomes the additional prime determinant being lord of the ascendant of D-IV.  The fourth house is occupied by two functional benefic planets which are not close to the most effective point of the house.  Jupiter is strong while the Sun enjoys 84% strength.  The planets in the fifth house, as per their strength, give results without many efforts.  In D-IV the ascendant is occupied by its lord, the Sun, which is aspected by Jupiter and a badly placed, but exalted Mars.  Saturn is in its exaltation sign.  Jupiter as dispositor of the prime determinant of net assets and the significator Venus are quite strong in the nativity.  The native had been acquiring properties, luxury vehicles and had quite good success in his business ventures.  Even at the age of 80, he was in a commanding position including health.  He was a millionaire and enjoyed comforts of mansions, luxurious vehicles, royal travels, honor from hundreds of employees, large family, etc.

CHART 35: Male born 13th September, 1951, 0030 Hrs. 77E13, 28N39, India.

The lord of the fourth house in the rasi chart, Mercury, becoming prime determinant of net assets, occupies the third house in close conjunction with the lord of the fifth house and significator, Venus.  The strength of these two planets depends on the strength of their dispositor, the Sun, which enjoys 80% power.  The most effective point of the fourth house is closely influenced by weak functional benefic Saturn which also acts as a Sun-like planet.  Being the lord of the ascendant of D-IV, Mercury also becomes the additional prime determinant of net assets.  Mercury and Venus are together and well placed in D-IV.  The ascendant of the D-IV is occupied by Jupiter and aspected by Saturn.  The native acquired very good assets, easily.  The significator Mars is debilitated but well placed in rasi chart and closely aspected by its dispositor, the Moon.  Venus, the significator for vehicles, is well placed in the chart.  Jupiter closely aspects Mars and reduces the impact of the weakness of Mars.

CHART 36: Male born 30th September, 1948, 1240 Hrs. 76E56,

30N50, India.

The native has spent most of his career-time abroad and earned good amounts of money.  He had a large surplus for investment which he invested in a joint family property venture and was then in the doldrums of what to do.  There is no mooltrikona sign in the fourth and second houses and the lord of the eleventh house, Venus, becomes the prime determinant for assets.  Venus is badly placed and weak due to extreme old age. Venus receives some benefit from the close aspect of the lord of the ascendant. The lord of the ninth house is well placed in the tenth house and the lord of the tenth house is well placed in the eleventh house. Both the Sun and Mercury are weak.  The Sun occupies the ascendant of D-IV.  This gave mental tendencies of a royal nature to the native.  The main period of the Moon, the eighth lord, placed in the ninth house took the native out of the country and kept him there.  The Moon exactly influences/afflicts the lord of the third house.  The native was enjoying good status in the foreign land as per the nature of the Moon.  As the Moon occupies its sign of debilitation in the D-IV, the native who had invested all his savings in joint family property was then worried for his investment.  The significator for immovable property, Mars, also occupies its sign of debilitation in D-IV.

The main period of Mars gave him fears of litigations.  As Moon and Mars in D-IV are weak, the native's assets have not been of a permanent nature and worry-free.

CHART 37: Male born 11th October, 1942, 1208 Hrs. 74E56, 30N12.

There is no mooltrikona sign in the fourth and second houses and the lord of the eleventh house, Venus, becomes the prime determinant for assets.  Venus is weak due to combustion, debilitation and its mooltrikona house being under the close affliction of the most malefic planet, the Moon, and Ketu.  Mars and exalted Mercury are combust and weak.  The lord of the ascendant of D-IV, Jupiter, becomes an additional prime determinant for assets.  Though exalted, Jupiter is weak due to bad placement, extreme infancy and its moolatrikona sign house being under a close affliction from Rahu.  Saturn ruling the house of initiatives is weak due to its placement in the sixth house and its moolatrikona sign house being under a close influence from the Rahu/Ketu axis.  The Moon, ruling inheritance, is well placed in the house of income but is weak as it is under a close affliction of Ketu, its dispositor is weak and it is placed in an afflicted house.   The lord of the ninth house, the Sun, is well placed in the chart but is weak due to the weakness of its dispositor and affliction to its moolatrikona sign house. The benefic Sun closely influences Mercury and Mars. The native had been a senior service officer due to presence of the Sun in the tenth house. The whole life of the native had been like a tireless vehicle being driven on a road full of bumps due to weakness of planets.  He was not very successful and satisfied with his career though occupying senior positions.  His marriage was delayed, he had no male progeny, had strained relations with wife in spite of all out efforts of the native to please her.  The well placed significators could not help much due to their weakness in the birth chart.  The native procured a flat and a car, etc. by selling off the agriculture land inherited by him.

CHART 38: Male born 29th August, 1948, 2330 Hrs. 77E13, 28N39, India.

In the rasi chart the Sun being the prime determinant of assets occupies the fourth house.  The Sun is close to the most effective point of the fourth house.  The Sun is a royal planet and indicates bungalows to reside and comfortable vehicles to travel.  The father of the native was a top level police officer and remained throughout his life in government bungalows along with the native.  The fourth house and fourth lords are closely aspected by Rahu from the twelfth house which curtailed the facilities due to the death of the father in his middle age.  The native himself also reached to a senior level position in government and continued to enjoy comforts of living and journeys. He also had a middle life span.

In D-IV, the royal planet, the Sun, occupies the ascendant and is again aspected by Rahu.  Venus is in exaltation in D-IV.  The D-IV verifies the possessions of the native.  The native owned and enjoyed all types of comforts and luxuries in life.
